Coach: Angus MacDonald
Coach Angus MacDonald has been playing and coaching volleyball for the past 15 years and has developed a great affection for coaching all ages. He coaches both Senior Boys and Senior Girls volleyball at St. Michaels and has coached 14U- 18U club volleyball. As a Level 2 certified Advanced Development coach and certified OCT teacher, Coach Mac understands the importance of creating a fun yet challenging learning environment. The focus of the program is to develop skills using correct technique so young athletes can learn to love the sport for life.
Coach: Marieka Ouimette
A graduate of the Mustang volleyball program, Coach Marieka Ouimette took her talents to Niagara College and was named female rookie athlete of the year in 2010. She was also a recipient of the OCAA All-Academic award. In 2012 she won the female athlete of the year award and was recognized by other coaches in the league as she was named MVP of the West Region team at the OCAA All-Star Game and 1st Team OCAA League All-Star. She then went on to star for the Guelph Gryphons. Following her career, Marieka returned to her roots and was a founding member of the Mustang Volleyball club at St. Michael CHS in Kemptville, where she has coached 14U, 15U and 16U for the past three seasons. An excellent coach who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience, Marieka is a true asset to the program and has helped propel Mustang volleyball to new levels.
Coach: Katie Sands
After leading St. Michael to three consecutive LGSSAA championships in high school, Katie took her talent to Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario where she worked as a right side and setter for her varsity squad. Her positive attitude, strong leadership skills and strive for perfection are three attributes that made Katie an excellent student athlete and also make her a great coach. She understands the meaning of working hard to reach personal goals and brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to the coaching staff.
